A pretty good weekend

Friday-

Cassy's Birthday party. About 200 people. Very inebriated. Jello wresting on the upper lawn. Drink mixing stations in the kitchen and in the garage. A HUGE kiddie pool filled with ice and about 300 beers. A BBQ. A firepit, a hottub and a whole lot of mischief going on. Apparently nudity too, but I missed that. Dammit...

I settled down early to make Caribbean Sidecars. Probably about 30-40 of them. And proceeded to get people COMPLETELY smashed. Some comments the next day:

-What the hell were in those shots??? DAMN P***!!!

-I think that there's lighter fluid in there somewhere.

-That was more like a malatov cocktail!

My mission was complete.

Saturday-

What the fuck did I do Saturday??? Crap I gotta go look. Oh yeah. Saturday was kinda boring. After going to the PDX Adult Soapbox Derby (which was really cool) and NoHo's for lunch, I went to a Tu Tu pub crawl where people wore ballerina Tutus (not me, sadly mine was at the cleaners). Went to a few bars. But when we went the Gypsy I split fast around midnight. I hate that place. Too loud and too many amateurs. Drinks suck too. They suck.

Sunday-

A lot of resting going on. Went to a mellow BBQ at night with a firepit. Leftover keg from the night before. I should have gone to this vs. The Gypsy. Nice way to relax, though. It's getting colder earlier. First time I wished for pants in about 5 months. Fall is coming.

Monday

Two games of Container back to back. A description of Container from BGG:

"Container is a game about big ships and big production. Each player will play both as a producer and shipper of goods. Players will decide which products they want to produce, and which of the OTHER player's goods they want to ship out to a remote island. During these phases, players will be able to set the prices for their goods and try to maximize their cash.

Once the goods have reached the island, players will play the part of the purchaser for their tiny island. Players bid for the goods arriving each day by ship, and the highest bidder collects these goods for conversion into points at the end of the game.

Sounds simple? It is! But the real challenge is turning your home production into goods for your island. Your government is willing to subsidize your purchases, but just how much money do you want to give to your competitors for that lovely crate of goods your island desperately needs?"

I love this game. First game we played with closed money, which I think is not a good game. You're guessing what everyones position is for 90 minutes and playing grabass to determine who the leader is. I convinced everyone to play open money the second game. This immediately identifies who the leaders are and allows appropriate targeting. The last two times I;ve played it open money I've won both times. Love this game.
